Tveit plays buttoned-up James, who’s stranded in snowy New England days before Christmas. Kind nurse Anna (Osnes), unaware he’s the Crown Prince of Galwick, offers him and his mother (Tony winner Victoria Clark) rooms at her family’s Connecticut inn. While reclining by the wood and taking an impromptu carriage cruise , James and the unlucky-in-love Anna tediously open up to each other, and he finds inspiration for the emotional holiday address he must deliver to his people.

Aaron Tveit created the role of Christian, which earned him his first Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical, in Moulin Rouge! The Musical first in Boston for the world premiere in the summer of 2018 and then on Broadway in the summer of 2019. He’s also appeared on Broadway in Catch Me If You Can, Next to Normal, Wicked and Hairspray. Other stage credits include Assassins (West End) and Rent (Hollywood Bowl).
He’s appeared on television in the Grammy-nominated “Schmigadoon!,” “American Horror Stories,” “Graceland,” “Grease Live!,” “Gossip Girl,” “Brain Dead” and others.
Film credits include the Academy Award-winning Les Misérables, Out of Cobalt , Created Equal, Undrafted, Better Off Solo , Howl and others.
He’s appeared in concerts in NYC at Webster Hall, Irving Plaza and LCT American Songbook, and on tours at Barrington Stage Company, The Paramount in NY, Property of Blues, Boston, San Diego, The Belasco in L.A., Barns at Wolf Trap in D.C., The Vets. His recordings include The Radio in My Head.

Gavin Creel Chats AMERICAN HORROR STORIES and Kissing His Bestie Aaron Tveit
For any fan of Broadway, Gavin Creel is certainly a name you will know. From Thoroughly Modern Millie to She Loves Me and Waitress, The Book of Mormon, and his Tony winning performance in Hello, Dolly!, Creel has cemented himself firmly in the American Musical Theatre canon. For his latest role, he has taken a turn to the darker side in American Horror Stories, a new anthology series on FX based on the beloved series.
I caught up with Creel by phone to chat about the new show, his love of playing queer characters, and the kiss that made Theatre Twitter explode. Our conversation has been edited for clarity and length.

A Deep Dive Into Hallmark Star Aaron Tveit's Personal Love Life
In past interviews, Aaron Tveit has expressed a very "Gentlemen Opt for Blondes" taste in women. In 2014, he told Harper's Bazaar that his favorite on-screen liplock was with his "Gossip Girl" co-star Blake Lively, and in 2009, he confessed to Playbill, "I am a huge Taylor Swift fan." He also told New York Theatre Manual that one of his earliest celebrity crushes was "Clueless" star Alicia Silverstone. Ericka Hunter can only hope that Tveit has moved on from blondes and is ready for the sequel: "Gentlemen Commit Brunettes."
When it comes to marriage, Tveit told Modern York Theatre Guide it's something he's open to. He revealed that he's the only member of his friend group who isn't married, but he's not letting relationship FOMO make him feel any pressure to rush to the altar. "If and when I get married, I want it to be once," he said.
In describing his approach to love, Tveit comes off as the ideal Hallmark leading man. "I'm a romantic. I believe that when you know, you know," he said.
